About The House Tiger Project
Fine Art mobile photography service based between the East Midlands and the West Midlands.
At The House Tiger Project, we know that all House Tigers have an inner big-cat just waiting to be unleashed. We're experts in coaxing that big-cat out and showcasing how majestic and beautiful they are. We also understand how deep the bond is between a House Tiger and their human. Our job is to use fine art photography to create stunning artwork of your fearless little tiger that you will cherish for a lifetime.
The worst part about having pets in our lives is the short time that we get with them. We want to help you to celebrate your feline family members while they're still with us, by creating captivating portraits that will bring you joy now and for many, many years to come.
In the beginning...
The House Tiger Project was founded by commercial photographer Laura Firth (me) of MiniAperture Photography. I saw how rapidly pet photography was growing as an industry, but most of this was centred around dogs and horses. As a self-confessed crazy cat lady, I felt like this was the niche I was born to fill! I have had cats of my own for as long as I can remember and they have always been so much more to me than just a pet.
"House Tiger" was our family nickname for my beautiful Maine Coon who we lost to cancer in 2022 (pic left). She was my shadow for almost 15 years. We have since welcomed two new House Tigers to the fold, Dusty (see above) our Norwegian Forest Cat, and his mum who is a retired queen.
